Most approaches to health and nutrition dwell on calories, carbs, fats, proteins instead of focusing on the overall health of the individual or the underlying causes that prevent them from achieving their goals in health and other areas of their life. Kristin coaches her clients to empower themselves, to develop a deeper understanding of food, their body and lifestyle choices that work best for them. Lasting changes are implemented to balance health in a way that is flexible, fun and free of denial and tremendous discipline, whether its achieving optimal weight, reducing food cravings, increasing sleep, and maximizing energy.
No one nutritional or holistic approach works for everyone. Kristin guides each client to find the food and lifestyle choices that best support their Bio-individuality™. Each person has unique food and lifestyle needs. One person’s food can often be another person’s poison. Working from this principle, Kristin supports her clients to make positive changes that are based on their unique needs, lifestyle, preferences, and ancestral background. She also helps uncover underlying self-defeating blocks to healing to create life-long, healthy habits rather than a quick fix such as rapid weight loss that often leads to extra weight gain in the long-term.
Kristin Kilmer Wellness also introduces Integrative Nutritions’s concept of Primary Food™. It’s easy to overlook all of the things that contribute to our sense of nourishment and fulfillment. It’s not just the food we eat, but all of the other factors present in our daily lives. Healthy relationships, a fulfilling career, regular physical activity and a spiritual awareness are essential forms of nourishment. When these “primary foods” are balanced, what you eat becomes secondary.
